The science, simply
A laser emits light at a specific wavelength. Pigment (melanin) in the hair shaft absorbs it and converts it to heat, which travels to the follicle and disables its ability to grow hair. The surrounding skin is protected by cooling and carefully chosen settings.
Why it takes several sessions
Hair grows in cycles. At any moment only a portion of follicles are in the active growth phase that responds to laser. Sessions spaced several weeks apart reach follicles as they cycle into that phase.
Who it suits
People with darker hair get the best results. Skin tone guides device and settings. Light, gray and white hair usually responds poorly.
Results
Expect long-term reduction. Most clients notice far less regrowth after a full series, with occasional maintenance in some areas.
